Characteristics of precious corundum:

Our precious corundum grain is a white aluminium oxide of high chemical purity and homogeneous crystal structure. This product is one of the most important raw materials in demanding shot blasting applications. It is not dangerous to health, does not contain free silica and is not absorbent.

Key advantages during use

Precious corundum does not contain ferrite, it is suitable for the roughening, knurling, finishing and cleaning of surfaces of non-ferrous and light metals, carbon steels and stainless materials. It provides an economical way to achieve better adhesion of paints and other coatings. It can be used for matting glass, as well as for roughening wood and plastic.

A further advantage of using precious corundum is that its use does not involve the risk of silicosis.

It is very hard, the edges reappear on the grains during the blasting process. Precious corundum grains are suited primarily for compressed air blasting equipment, in surface treatment applications using blast cabinet or free jet.
