A fundamental task in industrial surface treatment is to clean the work piece surfaces (primarily removing dust, oil, grease and the oxide layer) and practically create a surface applying conversion coating.

This creates an excellent basis for organic coating (paint), retains paint adhesion and improves corrosion resistance on the long run.
