The paint is basically waterborne with a minimum solvent content.

KTL technology involves earthed workpieces dipped in an electrically charged paint bath, where charged paint particles inherently create a thin coat with very good corrosion resistance. Coating spreads evenly even on the edges and inside workpieces with intricate geometry.

The requisites for successful KTL coating are rigorously planned pretreatment and multiple rinsing with ultrafiltrate after dipping (UF rinsing). Nearly 100% paint recovery and low curing temperature result in a cost-effective coating.
